I apologize for the delay in getting the next part of the book out. I am redefining the message of the book by re-reading and rewriting some of the latter parts of the book. Let me explain to you why. My intension is to not use this book as a therapeutic exercise for me and all of my issues. So, I had to take some time to check my motives behind every story I shared and own my choices, the good, the bad and the ugly. I had to ask myself the hardest question. Why and I writing this book? My desire for this book is to see people find their place in the midst of transition by letting go of past hurts and embracing their giftedness by being a part of a community.

Here is the table of contents and a quick overview of each part of the book. Lost in the Pews has four parts, which is an acrostic for the word L.O.S.T.

Part I

Learn when and how to leave

• I thought I was going to be here forever.

• When is it time to say goodbye?

• How to make a clean exit?

Part II

Open and honest communication with everyone involved

• Finding a new church is not easy

• Feed your soul

• Fellowship, fellowship, fellowship

Part III

Stop living in the past and start again

• Forgive and move on

• Be faithful

• No looking back

Part IV

Take personal inventory, share your story and take a chance

How to be a church transfer and not a church hopper?

• Communication

• Community

• Commitment
